What are three spiritual goals for
the year? What is the Holy Spirit speaking to you about the direction of the
ministry? What messages will need to be spoken, and when will they need to be
spoken to allow the best percentage chance of achieving God's will for the ministry?
1.
2.
3.
These goals will help to formulate
sermon series. The sermon series lead to behavioral goals expressed through
challenges (personal adolescent behavior), events (camp, campus missions),
outreaches (Generations, Hellhouse) and activities.
Ie:
Leading up to Hellhouse do a series on evangelism or the supernatural. Leading
up to September back-to-school event do a series on building community. Leading
up to camp do a series on the supernatural.

School/Christian Education/Discipleship
This is the most standardized
discipleship process the ministry can have. Students can enter in 6th grade and graduate in 12th having learned vital information and
skills to help them become men and women of God. What basic biblical skills/knowledge do

Curriculum suggestions:
1. Gospel Publishing House. Pro:
Definitely Pentecostal. Any other curriculum will require adding a Pentecostal
element.
2. Simply Youth Ministry LIVE Curriculum
3. X3P from Orange
4. Bluefish TV
5. Group Publishers
6. Youth Specialties
7. David C Cook Custom Curriculum
8. Jesus Culture. It's new, so it
doesn't have a track record.
Tribes/Small Groups
1. How will Tribes help you to achieve
the spiritual goals for the year?
2. Why do we do Tribes? What is the
primary goal of each tribe meeting? Is it to have fun or is it to disciple? Not
bad if both happen, but
which one is primary?
3. Where do we do Tribes? Best to have
consistent locations for each Tribe.
4. Curriculum. If the main purpose is
fellowship, then it's a simple devo, and allow leaders to come up with their
own material. Or have a
set curriculum like Simply Youth's LIVE Curriculum. Or
write your own devo's connected to the sermon series.
